AON Insurance
This certified wage and hour case on behalf of California claims adjusters employed at Cambridge Insurance is in the appeals process. After a bench trial completed in October of 2008, the trial court ruled in favor of the Defendant AON Insurance. Plaintiffs are appealing. AON (Hoyng) Insurance Services
This wage and hour case alleges that account managers and/or relationship managers employed by AON were misclassified as exempt employees and seeks recovery of overtime wages and other benefits. Avis
This proposed class action, pending in the Los Angeles Superior Court, seeks recovery on behalf of what Avis calls "independent" Avis location operators who, in reality, appear to be nothing more than employees who should have all the rights and benefits of employees. The motion for class certification was recently denied by the trial court, and that decision will be the subject of an appeal. Bank of America (Paulino)
This is a proposed class action seeking to recover on behalf of Bank of America employees who have been mis-classified as exempt employees. It is recently filed, and is a part of a multi-state combined action pending before the United States District Court in Kansas City, Kansas. Bimbo Bakeries USA, Inc.

Bloomfield Bakers
This is a proposed class action filed on behalf of California non-exempt employees of Bloomfield Bakers. The proposed class members often work 12 hour shifts, but are not afforded statutorily mandated meal periods and rest breaks. The claims also involve improper rounding down of hours worked, and other wage and hour violations.

Chase Bank
This putative class action is filed on behalf of non-exempt hourly employees at Chase Bank's retail branch facilities throughout the country, alleging that Chase requires its employees to be present and perform work in excess of eight hours per day and/or forty hours per work week but fails to pay them overtime accordingly, and further fails to pay for all straight time hours worked. Also, Chase requires such employees to perform work tasks during unpaid breaks, fails to provide meal and rest breaks, fails to timely compensate employees for all wages earned at termination, and fails to properly and accurately calculate overtime and report wages earned, hours worked, and wage rates. City of Los Angeles (LADWP)
This matter seeks injunctive and declaratory relief against the City of Los Angeles and various city agencies, for improperly billing residents for services not provided by the City or its agencies. Specifically, it seeks restitution in the form of reimbursement to residents whose trash was picked up by private refuse companies but who were forced to pay for the "Solid Resource Fee," as part of their aggregated utility bill, as well as an injunction to prohibit the City from continuing with such billing practices. This is a proposed This is a proposed class action seeking to recover on behalf of CKE employees for various violations of California law including Defendant's failure to pay for all vacation time owed. It is part of a coordinate judicial proceeding pending in the Superior Court in Santa Barbara.

This case involves Denny's restaurant managers. The allegation is that the managers, who are classified as exempt, are misclassified, and that in fact, the managers spend the majority of their time performing duties that do not qualify them for exempt status. Lifetouch
This class action has been brought on behalf of photographers employed by Lifetouch National School Studios, Inc., Lifetouch, Inc. and/or Lifetouch Church Directories and Portraits, Inc. in California. The Complaint seeks relief for Defendants' violation of numerous laws. Specifically, Plaintiff alleges that Defendants have corporate policies, practices and/or customs concerning the setting of mileage reimbursement rates, travel distances, the circumstances under which an employee is eligible for reimbursement for mileage, and the circumstances under which an employee is eligible to receive drive time wages, which are in violation of California law. In addition, Plaintiff asserts that Defendants have violated the law pertaining to the payment of overtime wages and that Defendants have also failed to furnish Plaintiff and Class members with accurate, itemized wage statements. Finally, the Complaint alleges that Defendants have failed and refused, and continue to fail and refuse, to pay Plaintiff and Class members wages due and owing (including drive time wages and overtime wages) in a timely and prompt manner at the time that their employment with Defendants terminated. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
In this class action, our clients allege that Wal-mart has consistently violated California Labor laws by failing to pay all wages and/or accrued vacation time to terminating employees and has further failed to provide terminating employees with final paychecks in a timely manner.
