Craig S. Pynes
Mr. Pynes has over twenty years of legal experience in a wide array of areas, including class actions, wrongful termination, insurance coverage and bad faith, as well as commercial and general liability. He is licensed in both California and Washington state. Mr. Pynes has handled all aspect of case management, including many multi-million dollar matters in Federal and State Courts and class actions (both prosecution and defense); all types of bad faith actions brought against and on behalf of insurance companies, complex homeowners association actions, wrongful termination, products liability and personal injury actions.
Representative Experience
His representative experience includes:
- Successfully obtaining a multi- million dollar arbitration award against a multi-national insurance carrier and injunctive relief prohibiting it from charging for medical bill review without full disclosure and policy transparency.
- Obtaining a Take Nothing defense verdict in favor of a National Gypsum Company in a General-Special Employment matter.
- Prevailing on a Summary Judgment against the then largest insurance carrier in the country resulting in a multi-million dollar award (on a case that the same carrier would not authorize any settle authority at mediation).
- Successfully second-chairing an eight week jury trial on behalf of American States resulting in a defense verdict in a first party property action seeking well over $1 million dollars for bad faith and business interruption losses, Brandt attorneys fees and punitive damages.
Mr. Pynes is admitted to the California state courts and various federal courts.
